About Winix

Originally imported under the Samsung brand name these coolers have become a mainstay in the arsenal of the UK's water cooler suppliers and are renowned for their reliability and fantastic value.

Winix was founded in 1973 by Yoon Hee-Jong; concentrating on the production of Environmental Appliances the company has grown to employ over 750 people and as of May 31, 2008 enjoys capital in an excess of 2.6 billion.

The company has successfully partnered with household names such as Samsung, LG and Electrolux as well as direct to retailer customers like the SEARS chain in America.

In 1998 Winix acquired its KSA / ISO-9001 Quality System Certificate and all of the machines featured on this site have full WRAS certification.

About Cosmetal

Cosmetal is headquartered in Recanati, in the Marcheregion, on the Adriatic coast of central Italy.

It is was in the early 1950s that Cosmetal was first established, the company's capacity for producing hi-tech, expertly engineered equipment and components led it, in the late 1960s, to diversify into other areas, in particular the flourishing plastic moulding industry, for which Cosmetal devised a pioneering series of refrigeration systems.

The mid-1970s saw the release of the first Cosmetal-branded water coolers, which were designed and manufactured in collaboration with a major producer of household electrical goods, and were intended principally for export outside Italy. Throughout the 1980s, Cosmetal continued its expansion, achieving consistently excellent results from its export markets.

The company's mission during the '90s was to widen its product range to meet not only the existing demand in consolidated markets but also the rapidly increasing demand from emerging markets (at the time, several European water cooler markets were still relatively underdeveloped).

The company was well-placed to take on the challenge it had set itself, because, even as early as 1990, the Cosmetal range encompassed everything from bottled water coolers to mains-connected models and jet fountains, alongside a series of high-performance coolers aimed at satisfying the exacting requirements of the restaurant and catering sectors.
